When Mobile Devices Control Every Aspect of Your Life

When it comes to securing the human, Mobile Device are one of the top ten risks I'm seeing organizations the most concerned about. It makes sense, mobile devices now have the same computing power (and risks) as your laptop. The only difference is mobile devices are easier to lose or have stolen. However, risks with mobile devices are only going to increase to the point where there are greater than your laptop. Think about it, many of us no longer carry digital cameras or 2-factor authentication tokens because they have been replaced by our smartphones. As technology continues to develop, other functions will be replaced also by our smartphones, such our wallets (think digital money), control of our car, access to our house or monitoring of our health. Traditionally, if someone gained access to your computer this impacted your finances or online accounts. In the future if someone gains access to your mobile device, the impact will be far greater as they can control almost every aspect of your life.

I just came upon another site that mentioned how 65-85% of Android devices have security flaws before the end user even gets them! With that many potential security issues waiting to happen I'd be worried about mobile security as well on employee devices.

I agree with the concerns above.
I also think a serious risk is the employees wasting time with the devices. It's a good way to spend hours on email/text, facebook, or the internet without monitoring. And if confronted, it isn't hard to pull up a business related screen to cover it up.

There are so many risks with mobile devices and the concern with mobile devices becoming more and more apart of your life raises the risk. Mobile devices are easily hacked and stolen but how do you fix the risks? As technology icreases we have to come up with better ways to secure and elminate the risks. In my opinion, security of mobile devices is far behind and we need to research more into security.
