Call For Speakers - Security Awareness Summit

b23Folks, as some of you know we hosted the first ever "SANS Securing The Human Security Awareness Summit" last year. That event was so successful that we have decided to host two security awareness summits this year. The first will be in London on 10 July and the second will be in Philadelphia on 19 August. While we will be releasing more details in the coming months, I can tell you these summits will be similar to last year. Each summit will be a single day, single track event with the goal of bringing the security awareness community together so we can network and learn from each other.

To begin preparing for the event, we are putting out an official Call For Speakers now. If you have led or helped establish a security awareness program, you have a story to tell that attendees can learn from, and you want to speak at one of the summits we want to hear from you. Key topics the community is interested in include:

  • Self-Education portals
  • Building Ambassador / Champion programs
  • Gaining management and/or employee support
  • Metrics / measuring success
  • Human behavior modeling
  • Security awareness maturity indicators
  • Effective communication methods
  • Designing your message

Please download and fill-out the speaker submission form and email it to If you want to submit multiple talks, simply list all of your different talks in the same form. All forms must be submitted by Friday, 27 February.
