NERC CIP Training and Expertise

NERC CIP Training and Expertise

The most trusted source

The SANS mission is to provide you with training and testing tools to ensure you meet compliance requirements while changing human behaviors and reducing risk. The SANS Institute was established in 1989 as a cooperative research and education organization. Its programs now reach more than 165,000 security professionals around the world. A range of individuals from auditors and network administrators, to chief information security officers are sharing the lessons they learn and are jointly finding solutions to the challenges they face.

At the heart of SANS are the many security practitioners in various global organizations, from corporations to universities, working together to help the entire information security community. The SANS CIP training courses and products are a great example of this in practice.

SANS is the most trusted and by far the largest source for information security training and certification in the world. It also develops, maintains, and makes available at no cost, the largest collection of research documents about various aspects of information security, and it operates the Internet's early warning system - the Internet Storm Center.

CIP training courses created by the industry, for the industry

The SANS team of CIP practitioners and industry experts invested years to create training courses that meet the specific needs of the electric.

At the heart of our development process is the advisory board. We convened a group of industry authorities to co-create and review the computer-based CIP Cyber Security training material. The board included former Registered Entity Primary Contacts, a former NERC officer, a Co-Chair of the NERC CIP Interpretation Drafting Team and a retired NERC auditor.

Visit the CIP training details page for more on what modules are included.

SANS features only the best instructors and curriculum developers in the industry to ensure you are getting the latest and most accurate information.
